THE LOCATIONS
Carrickfergus
(Irish: Carraig Ḟearġais)
Situated on the shores of Belfast Lough, Carrickfergus is dominated by the iconic Norman citadel which has stood guard to the stunning Antrim coastline since the 12th century. Despite being one of the island of Ireland's oldest settlements, the town of Carrickfergus boasts a blend of modernity and convenience with an idyllic location not far from Belfast itself.

The Local Board and Christine Harper in particular have forged close connections with the local community, which has led to many “extra” facilities being available, such as the summerhouse and raised beds where a lot of vegetables are grown. Outings are arranged and many residents have been involved in a knitting project for needy in Malawi.
